Different value, same item.
I have 2 Fur squares, one valued at 10gp and one valued at 20gp. I also have 2 silks same thing. Why the difference? I guess I need to sell them as they`re taking up 4 slots in my storage but which should I sell?

Not too long ago they put out a patch that made fur, silk, and linen a little easier to come by. Any of these that drop after the patch are actually a different item. A bit annoying, but worth it.

The higher value ones are from before the patch. The lower value ones are the ones that you get now. Use the older ones first to get them out of the way.

They ought to allow you to convert "old" materials to "new" ones. Even if it means losing some value on the item, lots of people don't care about the item value because they will sell to players or the material trader (the only thing I've ever found that sells for more to a merchant than to a material trader is wood planks). By allowing them to convert their materials when a patch comes, they can avoid the annoyance that comes when you have two stacks of materials that you can't put together...
Of course you don't want to make it automatic, for the possibility that some individuals actually care about the value of their materials I suppose. |

I agree with Master it is a bit trouble sum to have 2 stacks of the same materials just sitting there waiting for you to do something with them...

This happened every time they changed stuff during the betas. It used to drive me nuts too.
